Our Story

Colorful patterned bags and backpacks displayed on a white table at a market or fair. A woman wearing a headscarf and fur coat is browsing in the background.

Shop TETSO was born from a simple belief: that the extraordinary craftsmanship, artistry, and flavors of Africa deserve a global stage. We exist to connect African artisans, designers, and producers directly with customers in America who value authenticity and cultural richness.

Multiple colorful traditional African umbrellas with intricate patterns are held together by a person. The umbrellas feature vibrant colors such as orange, red, green, yellow, and blue, with decorative gold elements at the base.

What started as a passion for African fashion has grown into a comprehensive marketplace spanning four categories which includes fashion, body essentials, home decor, and food/snacks; all sourced from talented creators across the African continent.

Every product in our collection tells a story of heritage, skill, and creative expression. When you shop with TETSO, you’re not just buying a product, you’re supporting a community of artisans and celebrating a culture.
